Forum: faqs Subject: Uploading a quicktime movie

I'm using a Mac. I tried to upload a 1 min quicktime with a FTP. It seemed to be sucessful, but when I tried to register the movie, I got a message saying I hadn't uploaded anything. Also, there did not seem to be an option for creating a director in the my FTP software. Thanks for any help.

could be that it doesn't show up because it's not in a directory?

I use smartftp, so your software will behave a little differently, but here goes...

log on to your upload directory with your ftp client...

look in the remote directory (your directory on archive.uploads. org or whatever...)

if you see the file you uploaded, great, if not, sigh, well at least it was a small one...

To make a new directory, in your upload folder try this: while you are viewing the upload folder with your ftp client, try rightclicking INSIDE the window - the one on the remote server.. right click on an empty spot there, select "new" > folder..or new directory or similar...

hope that helps, if not, check back here... what ftp software are you using?
